 Mostafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, Inspector General of the Polisario police, who has formally declared his adherence to the Sahara Autonomy Plan, has just announced his decision to enter the Tindouf camps under Polisario authority on the Algerian territory.
The decision of the Polisario executive is worrying, especially that he intends to make campaign for the autonomy plan even inside Tindouf camps. Something which would not please to the Polisario and the Algerian military intelligence services (DRS) which are firmly holding control of the region.
Besides, Mostafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud has dreaded the danger of reprisals and got in touch with the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH). The latter has called on the NGOs concerned with defending human rights, namely the national advisory committee for human rights in Algeria. The CCDH inclined them to act quickly so that Mostafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud would be authorized to enter Tindouf without being worried because of his opinions.

 The Autonomy Plan for the Sahara proposed by Morocco, did not have the only effect of convincing a great number of Sahrawis in Tindouf, and even certain Polisario leaders, of its relevance, it has also accelerated withdrawing recognition of the imaginary Sahrawi Republic.
Thus, the countries which have recognized the RASD in the past, a theoretical republic marketed with petrodollars, by the Algerian diplomacy, have decided to put an end to imposture. Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint-Lucie, four Caribbean States have recently withdrawn their recognition of the unconventional entity. They adopt, at present, the international community logic which prefers to give chances to the process of negotiations supervised by the UNO to reach a final settlement to the regional conflict about the Sahara. A process which has been launched, after years of deadlock, by the autonomy plan qualified by the Security Council of being “serious and credible”.
Encouraged by the example of the Caribbean countries, a group of Sahrawis settled in the Sub-Saharan Africa countries have sent letters to the Chief of State of the last African countries who have recognized the fictitious Sahrawi republic.

Sahara – South Africa : Pretoria invited to withdraw its recognition of the pseudo « Rasd » |

 South-Africa has been questioned once again by the Moroccan NGOs, on its position about the Western Sahara issue. A call launched to the South-African President, Jacob Zuma by the militants of the network of Sahrawis in Africa, to support the Moroccan autonomy proposal, inviting him to retire his country’s recognition of the pseudo “RASD”.
In a letter addressed to President Zuma through the Embassy of South Africa in Dakar, the signatories believe that Morocco has shown audacity and courage in addressing the Sahara issue. Its autonomy proposal has been welcomed by the international community which encourages the concerned parties to continue their negotiations to reach a realistic and fair solution in conformity with the resolutions of the UNO Security Council.
According to network managers, this initiative is a call to think reasonably in favour of a constructive dialogue about the Sahara conflict which handicap integration efforts at the African level.
The network of Sahrawis settled in Africa has been recently created in Dakar, in order to mobilize the Sahrawi diaspora established in different Sub-Saharan Africa countries in favour of the Moroccan proposition for autonomy, and to give evidence to the hosting countries of the Sahrawis’ attachment to this proposal.

Sahara-Caribbean : 4 States withdraw their recognition of the imaginary SADR |

 Four States from the Caribbean : Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Sainte-Lucie, have withdrawn their recognition of the imaginary Sahrawi Republic. A decision which says a lot about the erosion of an illusory project that only Algeria continues defending, come hell or high water.
The decision of the four Caribbean States to withdraw their recognition of an entity, which, all the same, does not exist in reality, is not an isolated case. It follows a similar decision taken by the Dominique in July 2010, and by some other states. They all came to know the hoax and recognized that they have been misled about the reality of the republic which exists only in the imagination of few separatists being manipulated by Algeria.
This point appears clearly in the official statement announcing recognition of the withdrawal, revealing that the decisions of the four Caribbean States follow clarifications made by Morocco on the reality of the Sahara issue.
Thus, the governments of these States prefer giving all chances to the process led under the aegis of the UNO to reach a negotiated political solution for the regional dispute over the Sahara. A process which has been launched by the Autonomy Plan proposed by Morocco and supported by the international community and the Security Council considering the autonomy proposal as a “serious and credible” project.

The Sahara autonomy project continues attracting more supporters everyday. The Sahrawis who have escaped from Tindouf camps in Algeria, during the last months, to return to Morocco, took the initiative to gather one million signatures in favour of the autonomy Plan.
